Andrew has spent over 16 years as a lodge guide, followed by three and a half years as a WildEarth naturalist and three years as a guide instructor. He holds FGASA Level 2, Lead Trails and Track & Sign Level 3 qualifications, with specialist knowledge in birds, tracks and tracking.

He joined WildEarth in 2022 and values the freedom and connection that guiding brings, particularly the chance to share nature with people across the world. One of his most memorable WildEarth experiences was following a pair of Secretary birds as they raised their chicks over eight weeks, a story of patience and dedication that mirrors his own approach to guiding.

Known for his clear explanations and informative style, Andrew’s passion for nature shines through in every drive. Guests often remark on how much they learn from him, whether it is the intricate detail of a bird call or the subtle signs left by passing wildlife. His favourite species is the meerkat, whose social behaviour and endless curiosity never fail to inspire him.

Outside of guiding, Andrew enjoys leather crafting, a creative outlet that reflects the same patience and attention to detail that define his guiding.
