Guide
Cedric Dold
Date
14 – 21 February 2026
Location
Welgevonden Game Reserve
Waterberg biosphere, Limpopo, South Africa
The Waterberg Biosphere offers a wilderness of quiet valleys, ancient hills, and abundant wildlife. At Nungubane Lodge, days are spent with private guide Cedric Dold, exploring the reserve on game drives and taking part in a rare rhino notching conservation experience.
At Sediba Rock Lodge, time slows to the rhythm of the bush. Morning and evening drives reveal predators on the move and herds on the plains, while a guided walk draws you into the finer details — birdsong, tracks in the dust, and the scent of wild herbs. Evenings bring star-filled skies and the stillness of an untouched landscape.
This journey is one of connection, presence, and discovery, where each moment in the wild carries its own quiet wonder.
Your Private Guide
Cedric Dold
Private Safari Guide
With 19 years of guiding experience and a natural gift for tracking, Cedric brings a steady presence and sharp eye to the bush. Trained through EcoTraining and in-lodge mentoring, he specialises in big cats and the art of reading the land until its stories come to life.
Since joining WildEarth in 2022, Cedric has shared his passion with a global audience, inspiring younger generations to care for the wild. Guests are drawn to his calm nature and the joy he shows when reconnecting with familiar leopards, his excitement both genuine and contagious.
For Cedric, guiding is about more than sightings. He invites guests to slow down, be present, and feel the rhythm of the wilderness.
