Dates
13 - 18 May 2027
Location
Sabi Sand Nature Reserve
Welcome to Meet the Leopards, an intimate safari for a group of six in the northern Sabi Sand as the landscape shifts into the early dry season. By May the summer rains have passed, and the bush begins to open. The grasses turn golden, the air cools, and wildlife gathers more frequently along the rivers and waterholes that sustain the reserve.
Your host, WildEarth presenter Cedric Dold, brings years of experience tracking the animals of this region. Alongside the lodge guide and tracker, with patience and instinct, Cedric reads the signs of the bush to follow the movements of the Sabi Sand’s legendary leopards. Each drive becomes a focused exploration of riverbeds, open clearings and the dense bush where predators move quietly through the reserve.
You will stay at Jaci’s Sabi House, a private lodge reserved entirely for your group. The house offers a relaxed and comfortable retreat between drives, with spacious living areas and views across the surrounding bush. As evening settles, the group gathers around the fire to reflect on the day’s sightings while the night sounds of the reserve begin to rise.
