With five years of experience in the field and a strong foundation in both guiding and hospitality, Amy brings warmth, clarity and enthusiasm to every safari she leads. Trained through andBeyond’s Inkwazi Ranger Programme and FGASA, she also holds qualifications in wilderness first aid, rifle competency and advanced 4×4 driving. Her specialist interests include birding in the Lowveld, interpretative guiding and storytelling — all grounded in a thoughtful, guest-focused approach.
Amy joined WildEarth in 2023, drawn by the opportunity to connect people across the world to Africa’s wild places. Whether on the vehicle or through the screen, she sees guiding as a privilege and approaches each safari with curiosity and joy. Her most memorable WildEarth moment? Meeting her first leopard cub, later named Tshipondo — a story she followed closely as the young cat found her place in the world.
With a background in both marketing and accounting, Amy’s journey into the bush reflects her belief that the best work is work you love. Her guiding style is gentle and considered, she lets nature lead, offering insight and perspective without ever taking away from the scene unfolding. For her, a safari is about more than sightings; it’s about slowing down, tuning in, and leaving with a deeper sense of connection.
Guests often remember her for her infectious giggle, ever-present smile and genuine love for even the smallest moments. Her favourite animal is the baby rhino — wide-eyed, curious and impossible not to love. And though her path to the wild was not linear, it’s clear she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Wednesday, 6 May 2026
You will be met at Johannesburg International Airport and transferred by road to Kingfisher Villa at Mabula Private Game Reserve.
You will arrive and go on afternoon game drive with Amy and the Kingfisher guide.
Day 2: Thursday, 7 May 2026
Today, you will have a morning and afternoon game drive in Mabula with the opportunity of seeing rhinos, aardwolf, cheetah, leopard and other rare wildlife
Day 3: Friday, 8 May 2026
As well as your daily safari, you will enjoy a rhino conservation experience and attendance of a darting and ankle monitor replacement. This is an annual exercise where a number of animals are darted for this purpose. You will get to access the veterinary team for questions and a tactile interactive experience.
Day 4: Saturday, 9 May 2026
As well as your daily safari you will have the option to track cheetah on foot.
The cheetahs are fitted with GPS collars that help the research team track and monitor their activity and movements. Today you will work with the research team to track the cheetahs and check that they are fit and healthy.
Day 5: Sunday, 10 May 2026
As well as your daily safari today you will be heading into the skies on a hot air balloon.
You will hover gently above the beautiful Mabula Private Game Reserve.The exceptional peace of this unique and almost supernatural view of the world will forever remain as a truly cherished memory.
After landing, savour a delectable and generous sparkling wine breakfast.
Day 6: Monday, 11 May 2026
As well as your daily safari today you will be heading into the skies on a hot air balloon.
You will hover gently above the beautiful Mabula Private Game Reserve. The exceptional peace of this unique and almost supernatural view of the world will forever remain as a truly cherished memory.
After landing, savour a delectable and generous sparkling wine breakfast.
