With 19 years of guiding experience and a natural gift for tracking, Cedric brings a steady presence and sharp eye to the bush. Trained through EcoTraining and in-lodge mentoring, he specialises in big cats and the art of reading the land until its stories come to life.

Since joining WildEarth in 2022, Cedric has shared his passion with a global audience, inspiring younger generations to care for the wild. Guests are drawn to his calm nature and the joy he shows when reconnecting with familiar leopards, his excitement both genuine and contagious.

For Cedric, guiding is about more than sightings. He invites guests to slow down, be present, and feel the rhythm of the wilderness.

The Lodges


Nungubane Game Lodge

Nungubane Game Lodge is an intimate and luxurious private game lodge situated in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. Welgevonden Game Reserve is considered to be one of the most spectacular and breathtaking wilderness areas in South Africa. Nungubane Game Lodge is set high in Welgevonden’s mountainous, malaria-free terrain overlooking valleys and kloofs, dissected by areas of open plains and rolling grasslands. The lodge can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests in 5 suites. Each of the suites has a double bed configuration with full en-suite bathroom and outside shower, fireplace and tea and coffee making facilities. The reserve is home to the big 5 and morning and evening/night safaris are offered daily.

Laluka Safari Lodge

Laluka Safari Lodge is the ultimate destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Nestled in the heart of the African savannah, this lodge offers a unique and intimate experience, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Daily Itinerary


Day 1 – 3: Sunday, 8 February 2026 – Tuesday, 10 February 2026
Nungubane Game Lodge • The Waterberg Biosphere

On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, you will be met by a representative who will fast-track you through customs and immigration. Once the group is together, you’ll be driven to Welgevonden Game Reserve with your private guide, Cedric Dold. For three nights, stay at Nungubane Lodge and explore the wilderness of Welgevonden with Cedric. Enjoy exclusive game drives, wide horizons, and diverse wildlife in this malaria-free reserve. During your stay, take part in a rhino notching conservation experience, offering a meaningful contribution to wildlife protection.

Day 4 – 6: Wednesday, 11 February 2026 – Friday, 13 February 2026
Laluka Safari Lodge • Welgevonden Game Reserve

Transfer today to Laluka Lodge, where you will spend the next three nights continuing your private safari with Cedric. Game drives and guided walks bring you close to the landscape and wildlife, while the lodge provides an intimate retreat with striking views of the reserve.

Day 7: Saturday, 14 February 2026
Johannesburg • Departure

After breakfast, transfer back to Johannesburg International Airport for your connecting flight home.
