Date
6 – 14 September 2026
Location
Naivasha
Amboseli National Park
Masai Mara National Reserve
Our East African adventure begins in the highlands of Kenya, where you’ll be joined by the inimitable James Hendry as your private guide throughout the journey.
Your first stop is the tranquil Loldia House, nestled on a 6,500-acre family farm overlooking Lake Naivasha. With its rich colonial history and relaxed atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to settle into the rhythm of safari life, whether by the pool, on a boat trip, or during a gentle game drive.
From here, you’ll fly to Amboseli, home of iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and vast herds of elephant, including the legendary Craig, one of Africa’s last great tuskers.
Your final destination is the world-famous Masai Mara, where you’ll stay at Governors’ Camp, right in the heart of big cat territory. If timing allows, you may even witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. But whether or not the herds arrive, this journey guided by James promises to be the ultimate East African safari.

Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli
Amboseli is best known for its unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro and the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the park’s eco-system, featuring some of the largest in Africa. Elewana Tortilis Camp is situated in one of Amboseli’s areas of Acacia Tortilis woodland, with the majestic backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, and the World’s highest free-standing mountain, snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals take place both inside the park and within a private 30,000-acre game concession. The tents are all spacious, with king or twin beds and elegant ensuite bathrooms. There is a main lounge, bar and dining area, all exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs.
Governors' Camp
Governors’ Camp is Africa’s first permanent luxury tented camp, remaining in its original site since 1972. It occupies the best wildlife viewing location in the Reserve, nestled in the riverine forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, its waters teeming with bird-life, hippos and crocodiles. It is perfect for couples, families and friends wanting to experience the best of what a safari in the Masai Mara has to offer.
