With over two decades of guiding experience, a BSc in Wildlife Science, an MPhil in Human Development, and the highest FGASA qualifications, James brings rare depth to every safari. Since joining WildEarth in 2015, his wit, warmth and storytelling have captivated nature lovers worldwide.

Sanath joined WildEarth in November 2025 with deep safari industry roots and a passion for conservation-positive travel. A qualified field guide, he specialises in curating immersive journeys across Africa and Asia. His goal is to enable every guest to build authentic, lasting connections with wildlife and their natural habitats.

Gareth brings decades of luxury safari experience to WildEarth, rooted in Environmental Sciences and a guiding in the Sabi Sands. His path has taken him through winemaking, the WWF, and the non-profit world before returning to travel. When not crafting itineraries, you will find him exploring with his daughter and dogs.

Travel found Samantha nearly 30 years ago, and she hasn't stopped exploring since. Her passion lies in turning travel dreams into unforgettable realities and exceeding expectations every step of the way. When she's not crafting the perfect getaway, you'll find her outdoors, sunshine on her face and a good whisky in hand.

Byron joined WildEarth in 2021, bringing expertise as a conservationist, field guide and birding specialist. Now leading travel operations and guest experiences, he’s known for his calm nature, love of birds and passion for creating meaningful connections through safari travel.

Kelly joined WildEarth Travel in June 2026, bringing a unique combination of digital marketing expertise and a deep love of the natural world. A qualified nature conservationist and experienced fynbos guide, she knows the Cape's extraordinary floral kingdom as intimately as she knows her way around a marketing campaign.

James combines 20+ years of guiding experience with qualifications in Wildlife Science and Human Development. Since joining WildEarth in 2015, he’s become known for his humour, storytelling and passion for leopards and wild dogs.

David “GG” Githu is a Gold Level Kenya Professional Safari Guide with more than 30 years of experience leading safaris across Africa. A renowned WildEarth SafariLive presenter and expert naturalist based in the Maasai Mara, GG is celebrated for his storytelling, wildlife knowledge, and passion for conservation.

Cedric has 19 years of guiding experience and specialises in tracking big cats, bringing a calm, attentive presence to the bush. Since joining WildEarth in 2022, he’s inspired guests with his passion, memorable encounters like lioness Chela’s cubs, and his grounded, immersive guiding style.

Amy's love and passion for nature is undeniable and she brings her warmth and enthusiasm to every safari she leads. Since joining WildEarth in 2023, she’s known for guest-focused guiding, birding expertise and storytelling, highlighted by discovering two aardwolf cubs in a den at Mabula.

Steve brings over 15 years of guiding experience and a master’s degree in Nature Conservation to his work in the bush. Since joining WildEarth in 2018, he’s become known for his calm presence, deep ecological knowledge and passion for tracking and birding.

With 5 years guiding experience and NQF4 training, Eric brings humour, warmth and curiosity to every safari. Since joining WildEarth in 2024, he shares love of nature, marked by leopard Tsipondo encounter and passion for elephants. Off duty, he enjoys wakeboarding.

With roots in the Cape Floral Kingdom and guiding experience from Grootbos to the bushveld, Byron brings a deep appreciation for nature in all its forms. His calm, thoughtful style is built on years spent guiding guests through wild spaces, always seeking out the joy and stillness that time in nature brings.

Imara is a wildlife photographer and photographic guide who spent four years in the Masai Mara before joining WildEarth in 2025 as a camera operator. She now guides photographic safaris, helping guests capture meaningful moments while sharing her love for wildlife and storytelling.

Born in Zimbabwe into a family of adventurers with deep roots in Africa, Doug MacDonald has spent more than 30 years guiding guests across the continent, from the celebrated wildlife areas of Botswana, Tanzania and his beloved Zimbabwe to some of Africa's most remote wild places.

Not only is Gerrit WildEarth's head of Cam-ops but he is also a photographic guide with 29 years of experience behind the lens. He leads guests through the craft of wildlife photography, pairing technical mastery with an intimate knowledge of animal behaviour and light.

With ten years of guiding experience across Africa, Kerri brings deep bush knowledge, expert tracking skills and a passion for storytelling to every safari. Since joining WildEarth in 2024, she’s become known for her energy, insight and love of both predators and the smaller wonders of nature.

Andrew brings over 16 years of lodge guiding experience, supported by FGASA Level 2, Lead Trails and Track & Sign Level 3 qualifications, with specialist expertise in birds and tracking. Since joining WildEarth in 2022, he’s known for his clear, educational style and memorable storytelling, including following a pair of Secretary birds raising their chicks over eight weeks.

Ben is a FGASA guide, trainer and assessor with 20+ years’ experience in the African wilderness. He founded Celestial Events SA in Hoedspruit, offering night sky safaris across Greater Kruger and authoring FGASA’s Specialist Astronomy Qualification, bringing astronomy into safari storytelling.

Tristan brings over ten years of guiding experience from the Kruger and beyond. He joined WildEarth in 2017, known for his focus on the leopard and for sharing big cats' lineages and stories with a global audience. Tristan now guides privately with WanderingThru, bringing his bush knowledge and photographic eye to guests from around the world.
