Your Private Guide
Byron Loubser
Private Safari Guide
Byron’s journey with WildEarth began in 2021, though his roots in nature run far deeper. A qualified conservationist, field guide and birding specialist, he first joined as a local naturalist at Penguin Beach before moving into field operations in the Lowveld.
With guiding experience from the Cape Floral Kingdom to the bushveld, Byron brings a calm, thoughtful style and a deep appreciation for the wild. Today, he plays a central role at WildEarth Travel, managing logistics and guest connections from first calls to post-safari follow-ups, ensuring every journey runs seamlessly.
A passionate birder known to “brake for birds,” Byron thrives on sharing stories from the field. Away from work, he finds balance in the ocean, the mountains, and time outdoors with his wife and daughter.
Cedric Dold
Private Safari Guide
With 19 years of guiding experience and a natural gift for tracking, Cedric brings a steady presence and sharp eye to the bush. Trained through EcoTraining and in-lodge mentoring, he specialises in big cats and the art of reading the land until its stories come to life.
Since joining WildEarth in 2022, Cedric has shared his passion with a global audience, inspiring younger generations to care for the wild. Guests are drawn to his calm nature and the joy he shows when reconnecting with familiar leopards, his excitement both genuine and contagious.
For Cedric, guiding is about more than sightings. He invites guests to slow down, be present, and feel the rhythm of the wilderness.
