The Okavango Delta is the star: a seasonal floodplain where elephants wade through waterlilies, lions adapt to marsh life, and mokoro (dugout canoe) rides replace bumpy game drives. The Okavango birding is some of the best in Africa. To the north, Chobe’s riverfront attracts staggering numbers of elephants, best enjoyed from a boat with hippos snorting alongside and your favourite tipple in hand.
